Beer Week

Well its the 2nd annual beer week here in Philly. Its a pretty cool thing going on which happens to land around St Patty's day.. wonder why. Anyway, I meet up with my crazy Uncle Rob who has not really left college, he can drink me under the table any day. We met up at the Mc Gillian's Olde Ale house , the oldest bar in Philly serving beer since Lincolin.

Its a fun bar that is already celebrating St Patty's day, everything inside is green including every person there. You won't find a pint of Guinness (probably going back the the Guinness boycott) but they have a fantastic replacement that I have never had before. Beamish Stout...its a fantastic beer, smooth, creamy, drinks smooth  just like a Guinness, the only difference is the next morning. Beamish does not have the same grace in the morning as a night of Guinness drinking.

All in all, beer week was a success for me, I set out for a little fun a discovered a new beer.
Cheers
